When you're enjoying a relaxing holiday, a leisurely breakfast is the only way to start the day - it's even better if you don't have to prepare it yourself. Fortunately there is plenty of choice nearby whether you just want to while away the time in the immediate area or stop off on the way to your next adventure.
Cafe on the Green
Set right in the heart of Widecombe, Cafe on the Green is a great place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast (they open at 10) or brunch. It's within easy walking distance, has a varied menu and serves locally roasted coffee. NOTE: closed on Mondays.
Ullacombe Farm
If a hearty farmhouse breakfast appeals then we like Ullacombe Farm on the road to Bovey Tracey. It's very popular so you may need to book to guarantee a table.
Cafe 3 Sixty
Great for breakfast, brunch or a light lunch, Cafe 3 Sixty in Bovey Tracey has a quirky, cycling themed style and a vibrant atmosphere. They also serve great, locally roast coffee and cakes!
The Old Library
A long standing establishment in Ashburton, the Old Library is cosy and friendly and a firm favourite for breakfast, brunch, light lunches or coffee and cake. NOTE: closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Home Farm Cafe at Parke
Located on the Parke Estate at Bovey Trace, Home Park Cafe offers brunch, light lunch and light refreshments. It is also open for dinner on Saturdays throughout the year but booking is essential. Why not enjoy a walk around the peaceful Parke Estate then stop for a bite at the cafe?
