Sandridge Barton

Home of Sharpham Wines

Nestled in the picturesque Dart valley in the South Hams, Sandridge Barton, home of Sharpham Wines, have been growing grapes and producing award winning wines since 1981.  A unique marriage of the South-West climate, soil and grape varieties, together with exceptional wine making skills, make Sandridge Barton one of the foremost wine producers within the UK.  All that aside, we rather like their wines ourselves which is why we include them in the Honesty Bar in each of the cottages at Lower Venton Farm.

During your stay, why not book a tour or wine tasting, or enjoy a meal at the restaurant?

Sandridge Barton offer several different types of wine tasting experience, from casual self-guided options for those who want to taste the range at their own leisure, to in-depth guided tastings and tours for those wishing to learn more about the processes used in the vineyard and winery.

The Circa restaurant is located in the old stone milking parlour, a legacy of the dairy farm that was. It's all about sharing and showcasing the best produce from the estate and local area. A place to relax and unwind, sit back and enjoy some wonderful food paired with a lovely glass of wine, grown only a stone’s throw away. It doesn’t get much better than that.
