An awe inspiring, living abbey on the edge of Dartmoor
Located in the Dart Valley on the edge of Dartmoor just 15 minutes drive from Lower Venton Farm, Buckfast Abbey is a living abbey, church and monastry with a large restaurant, shops, exhibition centre and beautiful gardens.
At the Visitor Welcome Centre you’ll find out what there is to see and do during your visit. You will also be able to get tickets to access the fabulous Monastic Way Exhibition, as well as find a unique souvenir of your visit to take home with you.
The Grange Restaurant serves a range of delicious hot dishes from a menu that changes daily. Lighter bites are also available including pasties, sausage rolls, soup, sandwiches, salads and panini’s. On Saturday mornings a cooked breakfast is available to order and on Sunday a Roast Carvery is available between 12pm – 3pm. ‘San Benedetto’s’ pizzeria offers a tasty selection of quick and easy Italian meals, both to eat-in and take-away.
